Hopes for a more normal school year

Lake City Public Schools students will return to the classroom five days a week for the 2021-2022 school year.

“Hopefully we can be five days and mask-free and hopefully have less restrictions,” Bluff View Principal Jim Borgschatz told the school board at its monthly meeting on July 19.

If it comes to pass, it will be for the first time since mid-March of 2020 that the district’s two schools are operating at full capacity on a week-to-week basis.
