Lumber truck crash leaves big mess

A spilled load of lumber along Hwy. 61 south of Lake City took hours to clean up Friday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at around 4 a.m. a 21-year-old from Ellsworth, Wis., “lost control of his truck hauling lumber and it tipped on its side onto the right guardrail. The lumber load was lost in the ditch.”

No one was injured. The driver was wearing a seatbelt.
