New treatment helps Paul through surgery

Procedure tried on local patient

It was supposed to be routine. Prep for a colonoscopy. Take one sick day. Sleep through the procedure. Recover at home. Back to work the next day. For Paul Myers of Lake City, routine turned into anything but.  The procedure, conducted by Dr. Tom Ziebarth, of Lake City Family Physicians, at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, revealed a large lesion in Paul’s colon. The first step was to biopsy the tissue to rule out cancer.
