Pass It On contributes $125,000 to charity in its first 10 years

The Pass It On Thrift Shop will celebrate its 10th anniversary the same way it has operated from the beginning, quietly.

Next week the church-operated thrift shop will make another round of donations.

In 10 years the church has donated $125,000 to nearly 50 local organizations.

It is owned and operated by the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ in Lake City.

The thrift shop, located adjacent to the church and parsonage,  opened for business on Oct. 3, 2005.
