Paving underway downtown

Roadway paving on Section 2 of the Highway 61 reconstruction project began earlier this week and was expected to be complete by Saturday, officials announced in the weekly construction update on Tuesday.
Section 2 is the stretch of Lakeshore Drive from Elm Street to Lyon Avenue.
Rochester Sand and Gravel Public Information Officer Dick Swenke said paving would occur in three “lifts” over the course of the week, beginning with a base mix layer.
