COVID-19 active cases are at the highest levels yet seen at both of Lake City’s public school campuses, but so far the district has been able to avoid the staff crunch that has led other districts to switch to distance learning.
According to the weekly COVID-19 update on the school district website, as of Jan. 14, there were 21 active COVID-19 cases at Bluff View Elementary School, more than double the 10 reported the week prior.
At Lincoln High School, active COVID-19 cases tripled from seven on Jan. 7 to 21 on Jan. 14.
