The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 to cut County Attorney Matt Stinson’s salary next year from $130,900 to $110,000. Stinson had requested more than $150,000 based on market conditions.
Stinson wasn’t present for the Nov. 19 vote, which came after a lengthy discussion where commissioners listed numerous questions and concerns about the operation of the county attorney’s office under Stinson, who was first elected in 2022.
