Wabasha County: First hearing on auditor/treasurer change draws little attention

The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners held a Public Hearing during their Oct. 14 meeting to gather public opinion as to whether the auditor/treasurer position should continue to be an elected position as it has been, or if it should be an appointed position.

All commissioners were present for this meeting, along with County Administrator Brian Buhmann and County Attorney Karri Kelly.

The public portion of the meeting was very brief. The major segment at the end of the meeting dealt with labor negotiations and this was held in closed session.
