Andrew Johnson obituary
Andrew (Drew) Jay Johnson of Zumbro Falls, son of Jay and Tammi Johnson, was called home by the Lord on January 21, 2025.
Andrew was born Feb. 4, 1994. He grew up in Zumbro Falls, and at an early age became interested in the great outdoors from learning many outdoor activities while taking part in Lake City’s Environmental Learning Program. Whether it was snowmobiling, fishing, or bow/gun hunting, that was his world, and he relished in it. We will be forever grateful for all Drew’s friends, our friends, and family members and relatives that took time to mentor him and enjoy these activities with him. A very special thanks to Dale Mesenburg, his fishing/hunting partner/mentor as well as Tigger his faithful feline.
Drew attended Lake City Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school graduation, Drew went on to work at Hearth and Home Technologies and for the last 10 years has been a Union Laborer, most recently working for Mortenson Construction.
Drew is survived by his mother and father, Tammi and Jay Johnson; his sister McKenzie (Tyler) Harrison; grandparents Roger and JoAnn Hinrichs and grandfather Larry Johnson; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Cheryl Johnson. In lieu of flowers or gifts, if you would like, you could donate to the Lake City Environmental Learning Program where Drew’s love of the outdoors started.
A celebration of life will be held at the Zumbro Falls VFW on Saturday, February 1 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
