Ardelle Dohrn Obituary

Ardelle Marie Dohrn, 71, of Lake City, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after a six-year battle with cancer.
    She was born Sept. 4, 1944 to Edward and Bernice (Danckwart) Witt in Lake City.
    Ardelle married Vernon Dohrn on March 3, 1962 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City. They later divorced. She worked for Lake City Medical Center for 26 years as a dietary aid. She was a member of First Congregational Church. Ardelle enjoyed reading, going out to eat with friends and family, taking care of her flower gardens, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
    She is survived by one daughter, Robin Adams of Stewartville; one son, Terry Dohrn of Lake City; grandchildren, Melaney Adams, Dalton and Taylor Dohrn and Caleb Moyer; and two sisters, Mary (Bill) Doty and Darlene Wallerich, both of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, LaVerne Witt; and one brother-in-law, Don Wallerich.
    A memorial service will be Wednesday, April 13, 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church in Lake City with Rev. David Badgley officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel, Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church.
