Arland Nelson obituary

Arland M. Nelson passed away at age 82 in Buffalo, Minn. at Park View Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Arland was born on August 25, 1941 in Red Wing, Minn. to Arthur and Margaret Nelson. He was raise on a farm in Welch, Minn. and had one sister, Marlene Nelson (Breuer). Arland graduated from Red Wing High School in 1957. After high school he joined the Army National Guard and served two years.
He later attended Dunwoody College. On January 14, 1967 he married the love of his life Ramona Nolan. Arland owned Nelson Electric in Lake City for 19 years before he became a state electrical inspector, after which he finally retired in 2015.
Arland loved to spend his time traveling, and spending time with family and friends at the camper.
Arland is preceded in death  by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Nelson; in-laws Buster and Margaret Nolan, and brother-in-law Ralph Breuer.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona; sons Shawn (Jennifer) Nelson of Florida and Aaron (Tiffany) Nelson of Lake City; sister Marlene Breuer; and grandchildren Brady, Rachel, Robbie, Rylie, Cassie and Ryker Nelson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 31 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lake City VFW.  Burial will be at Fort Snelling at a later date.
