Beverly Earnest Obituary

Beverly Joyce Earnest, of Old Frontenac,  passed away peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Valentine’s Assisted Living in Red Wing.
She was born June 13, 1935 in Moline, Ill. to Louis and Alice Burwell. Beverly graduated from Rock Island High School in Illinois in 1954. Beverly and John were married, started a family and moved to Old Frontenac in 1969. In 2000, they moved to Lake City. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Frontenac, Ladies Aid, Veteran of Foreign Wars VFW Auxiliary 8729, and the Frontenac Quilters. Beverly was an avid bowler, enjoyed travel, a shrewd card club member, and a willing volunteer for multiple causes. There are many local quilts that have Bev’s flair. She was always fun to be around, especially when she was enjoying time spent with family and friends, and her dog Cujo.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Douglas (Lori) Earnest and Kim Earnest (Brian Miller); six grandchildren, Tara, Riley, Patrick, Carly, Baily and Frankie; siblings, Gordon, Gary and Joann (Bill) Hancock; and extended family and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sons, Rusty, Rick and Michael; parents, Louis and Alice Burwell; and siblings, Louis and Russell.         A graveside service for the family will be held at the Old Frontenac Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Dementia Society.
