Bruce Weissinger Obituary

    Bruce Weissinger, 58, of Millville, passed away unexpectedly at work with his son by his side on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018.  
    He was born Nov. 6, 1959 to Frank Weissinger Jr. and Doris Foster in Plum City.  He moved to Red Wing and attended school there.  He then began working as a carpenter for Ken Smith Construction and later for Xcel Energy.  He married Teri Johnson in 1983 at St. John’s Lutheran in Lake City.  They later moved to the Millville area. Bruce was a big-hearted man who worked long and hard to take care of his family.  He would help anyone who needed it. He’ll be remembered for his sweet smile, kind deeds, and unconditional love of family and friends.  
    Bruce is survived by his wife, Teri Weissinger of Millville; daughter, Amber (Josh Holmgren) Weissinger of Spring Lake Park; son, Jonathan (Molly Schneider) Weissinger and her daughter, Eily of Zumbro Falls; mother, Doris Fuller of Red Wing; siblings, David (Kim) Weissinger of Pepin, Wis., Sharon (Tom) Conroy of Red Wing, Diane (Steve) Weisenbeck of Alma, Wis., Janice (Jerry) Cody of Balsam Lake, Wis., Pamela (Jack) Sundberg of Mondovi, Wis., Michelle Schmitz of Red Wing and Sandy Smith of Eau Claire, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Belinda (Brian) Krenik of Pine Island, Lori (Dan) Tackmann of Waconia and Jana Johnson of Coimbatore, India; brother-in-law, Jay (Anya) Johnson of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Jr.; brother, Randy Weissinger; nephew, Dustin Weissinger; niece, Miranda Weissinger; great-niece, Alexis Earney; and mother-in-law, Patricia Johnson.
    Funeral service will be Monday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson Peterson Chapel in Lake City with Reverends Daniel Reich and Christian Christianson co-officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 11, from 2  p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
