Christopher Lien obituary

Christopher (Chris) John Lien, 46, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris was born Feb. 10, 1975, in Lake City, Minn., to Robert (Bob) and Darlene Lien. He graduated from Wabasha-Kellogg High School and enjoyed working with his family at Bob’s Salvage & Repair. Chris also worked at Danckwart Feed & Grain, eventually leading to his career as a mason with Tile and Brick Paving Company in Rochester, Minn. He married Kristin Johnson on May 23, 2009, in Rochester, Minn., and they welcomed their son, Nolin, in 2010.
Chris was a loving father who cherished time with his son attending classic car shows, fishing, practicing archery, and restoring their 1970 Chevy truck. He made memories with friends on fishing trips to Canada and had a love of hunting, camping, and the outdoors. His smile and easy-going attitude were infectious to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chris is survived by his wife, Kristin (nee Johnson) and son, Nolin, both of Rochester; mother, Darlene of Lake City; brothers Scott (Kim) of Wabasha, and Bob of Lake City, along with many nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly remembered by his close friends and extended family. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Lien and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on a later date at Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester, Minn. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to a charity of your choosing.
