Clark Malcomson obituary

Clark Allen Malcomson, age 95 of Lake City, Minnesota, formerly of Lindstrom, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the High Street House in Lake City, Minnesota.
Clark was born on January 28, 1930 to Ernie and Martha (Timmerman) Malcomson in LeRoy, Minnesota. He attended LeRoy High School and graduated class of 1948. After high school, Clark and his brother enlisted in the United State Air Force on the same day, and served our country proudly for four years, being honorably discharged in 1952. While in the Airforce, he met Margueritte through a mutual friend on December 22, 1951 and three weeks later, on January 11, 1952 they were united in marriage. Clark enrolled in college at Iowa State Teachers College after the military, earning his degree in teaching. He took his first teaching job in Mabel, Minnesota for one year and then moved to Lindstrom where he taught Industrial Arts, and 7th grade math.  He was principal for one year then went on to start the community ed and drivers training programs for the next 16 years.
Clark was very involved in the community. He was a Lion for 61 years, started Meals on Wheels, helped with spit and shine through the church and was a conservationist of the year. He also was the director of community ed for 16 years and taught drivers training. Clark was always willing to give a helping hand in his community.
Clark enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, fishing, hunting with his son and grandsons and elk hunting in Colorado with Russ. He loved birds until his dying day.
Clark is survived by his wife, Margueritte; son, Russ (Nancy); sister, Karen (Craig) McCarthy; grandchildren, Sterling and Ryan Malcomson, Riley Broussard, Holly Okland and Crystal Boe; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Clark is preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Martha; sisters, Darlene, Bonnie, Joyce and Marge and brother, Dale.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lindstrom, Minn., with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom, Minn. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
