Dale Dose obituary
Dale Patrick Dose, 73, of Albany, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on November 20, 1951, in Rochester, Minnesota to Dwain and Dorothy (Lyons) Dose. He started his schooling at the Whelan Country School in Wabasha County and then finished his elementary education at Lake City Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. He then went on to attend the U of M and received a bachelor’s degree in forestry. Dale served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era from 1970 to 1973. He got married on May 16, 1981, and later divorced.
Dale was employed by the Forestry Service for several years, and then in the trucking industry as a dispatcher for many years and as a truck driver for many more years. Over the years he resided in the state of Arkansas, at Cook, Minnesota and then moved to Wisconsin in 1992. Dale enjoyed going deer and elk hunting, biking, hiking, and playing golf. Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family and especially with his grandkids.
Dale was a member of the Living Word Church in Brodhead, Wisconsin, and the American Legion Post #144 of Albany, Wisconsin.
Dale is survived by his children, Sarah Ahrens of Beloit, Wisconsin, Lindsay Dose of Whitefish, Montana, Aaron (Val) Dose of Edgerton, Wisconsin, and Samuel Dose of Monroe, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Mason, Emma, Caleb, and Anastcia; two sisters, Denise (Tom McGibbon) Dose of Rochester, and Diane (Dennis) Bluhm of Red Wing; his twin brothers Donald Dose of Elgin, and David (Ann Marie) Dose of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and an infant brother, and sister-in-law Diane Dose.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville, Minnesota with Deacon David Dose officiating. The burial will follow the service in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, with Military Rites by the Millville Valley Legion Post #579. Friends and family may visit from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dale at a later date in Wisconsin.
