David Kennebeck obituary

David Charles Kennebeck, 83, of Lake City passed away September 18, 2023. David was born November 11, 1939 in Wabasha, Minn. to Joseph and Lucille (Hewitt) Kennebeck. He grew up in Wabasha and graduated from Wabasha High School in 1957.
On June 10, 1961 he married Shirley Mae Anding in Wabasha, Minn. They made their home in Rochester, Zumbro Falls and recently Lake City. Dave was a lifelong construction worker. He spent 29 years as a volunteer for the Zumbro Falls Fire Department. He was also a Minnesota State Fire Instructor for 20-plus years.
Dave is survived by his wife of 62 years Shirley of Lake City; sister Karol Benda of Texas; brother Gary (Sharon) Kennebeck of Wabasha; and sister Wendee Giles of Lakeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 7 from 2 p.m.  to 5 p.m. at the Old Bank Bar and Grill in Lake City. No cards please.
