Donis Ross Obituary

Donis A, Ross, 88, originally from Lake City, and a longtime resident of Marco Island, Fla., passed away peacefully at The Bluffs Assisted Living Facility in Lake City, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.
  She was born Feb. 22, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Marce and Florence Walters. She attended Lincoln High School. She was a career educator, with a master’s degree in home economics from the University of Minnesota. She taught in Joliet, Ill. for many years, and later in Houston, Texas. She was twice married, lived abroad in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and in Nigeria, and was a world traveler in the summer months and in her retirement years.  She was an avid reader and member of the Republican Party.   
    She is survived by her sister, Marcene (Allen)  Anderson of Frontenac and Marco Island, her three nephews, Jeffrey Wiebusch of Mt. Horeb, Wis., James Wiebusch of Lake City, and Thomas Wiebush of Fairborn, Ohio, and numerous cousins, grandnieces and nephews.
