Donna Koperski obituary

Donna J. Koperski, age 81, of Lake City passed away June 23, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Heath Care Center in Wabasha.
    Donna was born Aug. 30, 1939 in Iron River, Mich.to Donald & Irma (Wills) Anderson. She grew up in Iron River and graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1957. Donna then attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester. Donna married Ed Koperski Feb. 27, 1960 at St Pius Catholic Church in Rochester. They moved to Pine Island where they raised their family. Donna worked a short time at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester and continued her career at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island. Donna and Ed moved to Lake City in 1990 after they both retired. Donna was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City. She enjoyed boating, camping and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
    Donna is survived by her husband Ed of Lake City; two sons, Donn (Wendy) of Farmington, Minn, Tom (Qiu - Mei) of Cottage Grove, Minn.; 5 grandchildren; and a sister Diana Westphal of Iron River, Wisc. She is preceded in death by two daughters, Teri Koperski-McGrath and Joan Koperski.
    A visitation will be held Monday, June 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson – Peterson Chapel, Lake City. A Graveside Service will be Tuesday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the Pine Island Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
