Elton Peters obituary
Elton A. Peters, 75, of Lake City passed away May 2, 2025 at Mayo Health System Lake City Hospital.
Elton was born September 12, 1949 in Lake City to Albert and Erna (Uslar) Peters. Elton graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City and married Alice Christianson August 14, 1971 in Lake City. After they were married, they lived and farmed in Lake Township in Wabasha County. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City. Bingo loved to garden and especially spending time with his dog Daisy.
Elton is survived by one son Dion (Amanda) of Mazeppa, two daughters Alican Bolland (Dan Felber) of Red Wing, Angela Cox (Chris) of Wabasha; eight grandchildren, Cole, Corey, Cameron, Jack, Mason, Taylor, Preston and Jillian; sister, Merraine (James) Marking; and special friend Gail Christianson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, parents Albert and Erna Peters, one grandson Brody, one sister Wendella Handshaw.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Robb Robbert officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson - Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Visitation will also be one hour before the service at the church.
