Evelyn Lunde Obituary

Evelyn (Schmidt) Lunde passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System,  Red Wing Hospital, she was 95 years old.
    Evelyn was born Aug. 18, 1923 to Arthur and Helen (Lange) Schmidt in Lake City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. Evelyn married Julian “Jack” Lunde, April 20, 1946.
    Evelyn is survived by her only child, Pati (Tim) Walsh of Albuquerque, N.M.; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Maggie (Eric) Walsh-Buhi of La Mesa, Calif. and Kay (Reid) Nunn of Albuquerque, N.M.; one great-granddaughter, Cora Nunn; and two great-grandsons, Jack Tucker Nunn and Benedikt Briar Walsh-Buhi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her sister, Patricia Yotter and two brothers, Arthur and Chuck Schmidt.
    For 25 years, Evie managed the St. Mark’s Episcopal flower fund. She was a member of the Lake City Women’s Club and the VFW Auxiliary. Evie was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for 50 years.
