Glenn Bursell Obituary

Glenn Bursell, 60, of Lake City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Lake City Care Center.
    He was born July 25, 1957 to Arlen Bursell and Lois (Goranson) Heins in Lake City. Glenn grew up in Lake City where he attended Lincoln High School. Glenn worked as a professional musician. On May 30, 2002, Glen married Darlene Tanner. They moved to Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada. He returned to Minnesota in 2014. Glenn enjoyed being a ham radio operator and had a great love of music. Most of all, Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family.
    Glenn is survived by his sister, Jody Ogden of Lake City; nieces and nephews, Eric (Bursell) Decker of Winona, Shawn Ogden, Trenton Island/Lake City, David Ogden of Hammond, Stacie (Steve) Patnode of Red Wing, Sharee Ogden of Lake City, Heather Ogden of Red Wing, Krista Williams of Red Wing, Rebecca Ogden of Lake City; and also, many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Heins, his father, Arlen Bursell, and his brother, Scott Bursell.
    A memorial service will be Tuesday, Oct 17 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lyle Jacobsen officiating. Private burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
