Jody Ogden Obituary

    Jody Ogden, 66, of Lake City, passed away at home in Red Wing on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018.
    She was born on May 19, 1952 to Arlen Bursell and Lois (Goranson) Heins in Lake City. Jody graduated from Fairfax High School in 1970. She returned to Lake City and married Ed Ogden on May 17, 1971. They lived in Lake City where they raised their family. They later divorced. On April 1, 2005 she was gifted a second chance at life after receiving a double lung transplant from a generous organ donor. She was a Campfire leader. She enjoyed collecting antiques and crafting and was a member of Lake City United Methodist Church. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family.
    Jody is survived by her children, Shawn Ogden of Lake City, David (Dannielle Angell) Ogden of Hammond, Stacie (Steve) Patnode of Red Wing, Sharee Ogden of Lake City, Heather Ogden of Red Wing, Krista (Kurt Hanson) Williams of Red Wing and Rebecca (Steve) Poncelet of Lake City; 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Eric Bursell of Winona. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Glenn and Scott Bursell.
    Memorial service will be Thursday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City with Rev. Phillip Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10 and one hour before the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Online condolences can be sent to www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com .
