Joyce Klennert obituary

Joyce Lynn Klennert, 62, of rural Zumbro Falls, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
She was born on October 19, 1962 in Northfield, Minn. to Elmer and Arlene (Hemmelman) Holz. Joyce attended Elementary School in Kenyon, Minn. and was in the class of 1981.
She met the love of her life, Robert Klennert and they were married at Zion Lutheran Church in West Concord, Minn. on October 25, 1980.
They made their home in Zumbro Falls where they raised their family. Joyce enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, but her pride and joy were her cats and her daycare kids, which she loved very much, and grand dog Sasha.
Joyce is survived by her husband Robert of 44 years; sons, Brad Klennert of Zumbro Falls and Alex “Adam” (Erica) Klennert of Decorah, Iowa; siblings, Diane Bangert of Faribault, Ellen (Jim) Klennert of Lake City, and Elmer (Lisa) Holz of Glenville, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Rose Holz and Patti Trout; brother-in-law, Frank (Sharleen) Klennert; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa; her parents, Elmer and Arlene Holz; parents-in-law, Thomas and Nancy Klennert; and siblings, Carl Holz and June Wilson.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6 at South Troy Wesleyan Church, 56817 US-63, Zumbro Falls. Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 7 at South Troy Wesleyan Church with Pastor Colleen Hoeft officiating. Lunch will be served following the service. There will be a private burial.
