Judith Podulke obituary

    Judith Podulke, 79, of Lake City, passed away on August 29, 2022, at the Mayo Methodist Campus in Rochester with her husband by her side.
    Judith was born to Mervil and Augusta (Roth) Schuster in San Francisco, Calif. on December 3, 1942. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1960 and attended Robbinson’s Beauty School and worked as a beautician for one year before joining the Army in August  of 1962. Judith was discharged in August of 1965. She married Stephen Podulke on March 22, 1969 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City. She was an active member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church and served as a president of the Church’s Guild. Judith loved gardening, sewing, reading and decorating.
    Judith is survived by her husband, Stephen; her daughters, Christine Podulke-Risler of Lake City, Cathrine (Mike) Lindeland  of St. Paul, Minn.; sons, Morgan “Mark” Podulke  (Joci) of Minneapolis, Minn., Matthew Podulke of Lake City; sisters, Mary Cross of California, Peggy (Hugh) Sontag of Carbondale, Colo.; brothers, Robert Schuster, Patrick Schuster of Lake City. Grandchildren Jacqueline and Cody Risler, Emily, Avery and Ethan Podulke, Aimee Jensen, nephews and niece.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Andrew.
    A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, with Father Matt Fasnacht officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lake City.
