Laurine Roozen obituary

    Laurine G. Roozen, age 98, of Hudson, Wis., formerly of Lake City, Minn., died on July 19, 2022 at Comforts of Home in Hudson.
    Laurine was born on June 3, 1924 in Ettrick, Wis. to Earl and Nellie (Strachan) Mack. She graduated from Winona High School, and soon after was united in marriage to Bernard “BJ” Roozen on October 16, 1947. Their marriage would be blessed with three children: Steve, Scott, and Laurie.
    Laurine worked over 20 years as an Office Manager at BW Harris Manufacturing Company, Lake City Branch, a men’s outerwear company that produced Zero King branded wear. She also helped with the bookwork for the business she and BJ owned, Standard Oil Bulk Delivery and the Amoco Gas Station both in Lake City. As her health began to decline, she relocated to Hudson, Wis.
    Laurine enjoyed serving on the Women’s Auxiliary through the Lake City VFW. She also was an avid reader, loved country western music, and enjoyed watching television, especially Wheel of Fortune and the Price Is Right.
    She is survived by her children: Steve (Nancy) Roozen, Scott (Pam) Roozen, and Laurie (Jeffrey) Henn; five grandchildren: Terry Roozen, Nicole (Zach) Wellik, Jeremy Meyer, Andrew (Anna) Henn, and Kailey Henn; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, BJ; parents; grandson, Christopher Roozen; and siblings: Katherine, Margaret, Colleen, and Kenneth.
    Private family graveside services will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lake City, Minn.
