Lloyd Betcher Obituary

Lloyd Leroy Betcher, 82, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 at his home in Lake City from pancreatic cancer.
    He was born Oct. 29,1936 to Henry and Laura Betcher in Mazeppa Village, Minn.
    Lloyd graduated from Mazeppa High School and served the Ambulance CO 204th Medical Battalion in Zumbrota.  He moved to Lake City where he married Carol Prigge in June 1957.  They had two children, Dale and Lori.  Lloyd committed 45 years to what is now Federal-Mogul, until he retired.  He enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles, carpentry, fishing and deer hunting trips up north, short trips to the casino, spending time with his family and neighbor friend, Terry Herzig.
    Lloyd is survived by his children, Dale of Lake City and Lori Huffman of Lake City; grandchildren, Heidi Savage of Red Wing, Kyle Savage of Lake City and Drew Huffman of Red Wing; brothers, Henry (Marlene) Betcher and Alvin Betcher, both of Mazeppa; sister-in-law, Valarie Johnson of Red Wing; brother-in-law, Arthur (Lori) Prigge of Washington state; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; parents; in-laws, Arthur and Lydia Prigge; brother-in-law, Richard Prigge; sister-in-law, Marjorie Prigge; nephew, David Johnson; and niece, Barbara Prigge.
    Per Lloyd's request, there will be no services.  A private burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery in Lake City.
