Louella Polson Obituary

Louella Ruth Polson, 63, of Lake City, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 31, 2020.          She was born Sept. 25, 1956 in Cross Lake, Manitoba, Canada to Alex and Catherine (Sinclair) Ross.  She attended school in Cross Lake.  On Dec. 22, 1979 she married William “Bill” Polson in Cross Lake, Manitoba.
    Louella was employed as a housekeeper for the Kahler Hotel for 16 years until she became disabled. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, and especially spending time with her grandkids.  Louella was a member of the Hilltop Fellowship Church in rural Millville.
    Louella is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Polson of Lake City; four sons, Shawn “Chief” (Casey Mehrkens) Ross of Millville, Ben (Jenny) Polson of Rochester, Bob (Danielle) Polson of Elgin, and Ross Polson of Lake City; nine grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Helen Saunders of Brandon, Manitoba, Isabelle Pearson, Sheila Ross, Johnny Ross and Lawrence Ross all of Cross Lake, Manitoba, and Margie Edgar of Edmonton, Alberta; and mother-in-law, Shirley Polson. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Esther, Lydia and Rosalie; and brother, Robert.  
    A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 5, at the Hilltop Cemetery in rural Millville, with Rev. Steve Buss officiating.
