Lydia Klenke Obituary

Lydia Agnes Klenke, 70, of Red Wing, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Red Wing Hospital, with her beloved husband by her side.         She was born on May 17, 1950 to Wilbur and Bernice Mancilman in Lake City, Minn. Lydia graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1968 and received her bachelor's degree from St. Mary’s University. She married Leon Klenke in 1970.
    Lydia worked at Red Wing Shoe Company and FMS Insurance. She was a member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary in Red Wing. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and traveling. She also cherished spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. Her contagious smile and happy go-lucky attitude will be deeply missed by everyone dear to her.
    Lydia is survived by her husband, Leon; son, David Klenke; daughter, Tami (Jon) Burns; and three grandchildren, Riley, Beau and Elliott.
    A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Frontenac Sportsman Club from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
