Mark Kruempel obituary

Mark Alan Kruempel of Champlin, Minn. passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 66, after lengthy health complications.  He was born on August 28, 1958, in Miami, Florida to Theo and Lois (Lowrie) Kruempel. He moved back to Minneapolis with the family in 1959 and later to Lake City in 1963.
He attended Lake City Lincoln High School where he enjoyed football, baseball, basketball and golf. He graduated in 1976. After graduation he attended Minnesota School of Business. He continued enjoying golf with family and friends. Later he worked for Traveler’s Express in Golden Valley. Met and married Leann Ulrich of Alexandria, Minn. on October 17, 1981. They had two sons, Matt and Tony, and seven grandchildren, Jack, Kelsey, Joe, Cameron, John, Henry and Thomas. Mark is survived by his wife of 43 years, parents, sons Matt and Tony (Claire), brothers Steve and Chad of Lake City, and sisters Cindy of Stewartville and Lori Harrison (Scott) of Appleton, Wisconsin, nephews Colten and Spencer and niece Megan.
A viewing will be held on August 28, 2025  from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m at Cremation Society of Minnesota, Brooklyn Park Chapel, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445, with a service following. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
