Mary Ann Holz Obituary

Mary Ann Holz passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Trimont Health Care Facility in Trimont, Minn., after a short battle with cancer.  She was 70 years old.
    Mary was born Jan. 2, 1949 in Hayfield, Minn. to Edward and Ardell Holz.  She grew up in Blooming Prairie, Minn. as the oldest of two children, and attended Blooming Prairie Schools where she graduated in 1967.
    She worked many years in Iowa as a daycare provider and retired when she moved back to Minnesota. Mary loved to collect hummingbird figurines.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, known for her generosity and kindness.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
    Mary is survived by her children, Kim (Scott) Holm and Curtis and Eddie Getchell; grandchildren, Dustin and Daniel (Jessica) Holm; brother, Dale Holz; other aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.  
    Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13 at New Hope Church in Lake City with Rev. John Hodgell officiating. There will be a time to greet the family starting at 10 a.m. before the service.
