Patrick Christenson Obituary

Patrick James Christenson, 62, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, of Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis. God remained faithful to him through his cancer journey.
    He was born Feb. 21, 1955 in Minneapolis. He graduated from St. Mary’s in Winona with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and received his master’s degree in mathematics from Syracuse University, N.Y.  Pat worked at IBM in Rochester for 37 years as a software engineer. Pat was married to the wife of his youth, Susan (Sue/Suki) Schumann. They were married on July 11, 1975 in Crystal, Minn.  Pat was a loving, devoted husband, and father to nine adopted children. He always put his family first. He was very dedicated to his family, church, and work. Pat was characterized most by his strong relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
    Pat is survived by the love of his life, Suki; his children, Joshua (Daphne), Luke (Christina), Luis, Mark, Jenny, Marta (David), Amalia, Micah and Olivia; seven grandchildren, Jacelyne, Elijah, Mila, Ethan, Isaiah, Kaius and Dietrich; his mother, Lois; his step-mother, Alma; brothers, Denny (Jean) and Mike (Jody); step-sister, Cindy; step-brother, Kim (Sharon); as well as many other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda, and father, Harold (Chris).
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11,  at 11 a.m. at Hiawatha Bible Chapel in Wabasha with Rev. Nate Kemper officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 4 pm. to 7 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
