Paula Burnham-Hamm obituary

    Paula Florence Burnham-Hamm, age 64, of Grand Rapids, Minn. passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, unexpectedly at Grand Village where she lived. Paula was born on May 11, 1958, to Rev. Charles and Betty Jean (Atkinson) Burnham in Owatonna, Minn. After Paula graduated from Lake City Lincoln High School in 1977, she moved to Rochester, Minn. where she got married and had two sons, Charles, and Joseph Johnson.
    Paula lived in Grand Rapids for many years. She loved knitting and crocheting, and she was well known for the beautiful blankets she would make for people. When she was around, you never knew what she would do or say. Her nephews and nieces enjoyed her jokes. She had a strong love for her Lord Jesus Christ and now is in his arms and reunited with her father, mother, and son.
    Paula was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, mother, and oldest son Charles. Paula is survived by her sisters, Pamela (John) Anderson of Muskego, Wis., Rosanne (Fred) Stram of Faribault, and Vonda (Shannon) Dronen of South St. Paul; son Joseph (Amanda) Johnson of Frazee, Minn.; grandchildren Mekiah and Skylee; and nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
    A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel, with Pastor Phil Schmidt officiating. The burial will follow the service in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City near her parents. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
