Randy Klindworth Obituary

    Randal “Randy” Karl Klindworth, 61, of rural Zumbro Falls, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side, after battling a brain tumor (Oligodendrogloma) for 3 1/2 years.  
    He was born Sept. 2, 1958 in Lake City to Frederick and Janice (Sprick) Klindworth. He grew up and attended school in Lake City, graduating in 1977 from Lincoln High School.  Randy married Cathy Peters on July 19, 1980 at Lake City.
    Randy was employed as a milk hauler over the years for the Henn Brothers, Jackson Transfer, and Tiedeman Transfer. He also was a dairy farmer for many years. Randy was also employed driving truck for Nibbe Trucking. He worked at DFA Milk Plant of Zumbrota, and was a school bus driver for Kennedy Bus Service.  Randy was a member of the Wabasha County American Dairy Association, Zumbro Falls Lions, and served on the AMPI board. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln, and served on the church council.  Randy enjoyed spending his time with his family and his grandchildren.
    Randy is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Klindworth of Zumbro Falls; sons, Jeremy Klindworth of Lake City and Keith Klindworth of Zumbro Falls; four grandchildren, Alison, Johanna, Matthew and Evan; and two brothers, Roland (Carol) Klindworth of Lake City, and Robert (Martha) Klindworth of Mankato.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
    A graveside service will be held for Randy at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lake City, with Pastor Dan Reich officiating.  Friends and family are asked to bring their own chairs and social distance and follow the COVID-19 guidelines.
    The family wishes to thank the Mayo doctors and Mayo Hospice for their fine care.
