Richard Beck obituary

    Richard “Dick” Beck, 69, passed away at his home in Lake City on November 13, 2022.
    Dick was born on July, 8, 1953,  to James and Delores (Henn) Beck in Lake City, Minn. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1971. He worked for Willers Construction, Independent Grain and Ahler’s Construction in Lake City. Dick also attended Auctioneering School in Iowa and worked with Emery Henn until his accident. He also loved to farm. In 1987, he was paralyzed in a car accident. This never slowed him down; Dick could be seen all over town going to softball games or just out visiting with friends in his wheelchair. He was an avid Vikings fan and loved watching sports.
    Dick is survived by his two brothers, James (Kathy) Beck of Rice Lake, Wis., Mark (Marlene) Beck of Lake City; two sisters Judith (Brad) Ellison of Lake City, Kim Wood of Rochester; his best friends, Lori Wright and Dylan Wright; numerous nieces and nephews.
    Dick is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Joseph and a brother-in-law Dale Wood.
    A Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City with Reverend Nathan Cordes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.
