Richard Mickelson obituary

Richard Alan Mickelson, age 67, of Lake City, passed away at his home on Friday, July 3, 2026. He was born November 22, 1958, in Lake City to Milton and Dorothy (Glander) Mickelson. He graduated from Lincoln High School and worked for Super Valu for the next 15 years. He then began working for Federal-Mogul where he worked as a machine operator until retiring on August 28, 2020.  Rick married Deb Kutina on August 9, 1996 and they later divorced. Rick loved to spend time on the water fishing with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing softball and bowling, as well as shooting pool, for which he won several trophies.
He is survived by two brothers, Ronald (Donna) and Steve (Sherry); two nieces, Jodi (Dylan) Christopherson and their children, Billy and Annabelle; Trista (Nick) Kelly and their son, Grayson; nephew Corey (Sarah) Mickelson and their son, Cameron. He was preceded by his parents, Milton and Dorthy Mickelson.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 25 from  2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lake City VFW.  A private family burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery.  Arrangements by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel.
