Robert Seberg Obituary

Robert Seberg, 88, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Lake City Care Center.
He was born March 16, 1931 to Arthur and Luella (Sirvas) Seberg in Lake City. He graduated from Hamline University with a degree in biology and then went on to graduate from dental school at the University of Minnesota.  On Sept. 25, 1954 he married Pearl Hamilton. He then joined the U.S. Army where he served until his honorable discharge in 1959. The family then returned to Lake City where Robert opened his dental practice on High Street, now present day Pepin Valley Dental.
Robert was an active member of his community. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, past president of the Lake City County Club, on the Chamber of Commerce board and he even helped organize the first Lake City Water Ski Days. Robert also sat on the Florence Township Board and promoted the trade and industry programs at Lake City High School.  He was one of the first to offer mentorship and training to high school students through this program. Robert was an avid gardener, loved dogs (especially Welsh Corgies) but his favorite pastime was golfing. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling all over to play in various golf tournaments.
Robert is survived by his wife, Pearl; children, Mary Jo (Michael Muth) Seberg of Inver Grove Heights, Michael Seberg of Minneapolis, John Seberg of Phoenix and Elizabeth Seberg Promer of Shoreview; three grandsons, Nathan, Jake and Luke Promer; and one nephew, Michael Moore of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by parents and one brother, Donald Seberg.
