Ronald Sexton obituary

    Ronald Melvin Sexton, 78, passed away at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn. on September 26, 2022.
    Ron was born on November 25, 1943, in Waverly, Minn. to William and Mildred (Herbst) Sexton. He graduated from Chosen Valley High School in Chatfield, Minn. in 1961. Ron married Linda Roberts at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City in February 6, 1965.
    Ron is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Dana; grandson, Scott; his brother, William Sexton Jr. of Spokane Wash.; sisters, Geraldine Vorhies of Spokane, Wash., Debbie (Lyle) Brown also of Spokane, Wash.; foster brothers and sisters, Larry (Becky) Rabe of Chatfield, Minn., Liz (Dave) Brinkman of Yankton, S.D., Robert (Diana) Rabe of Chatfield, Minn., Chuck (Mona) Rabe of Eyota, Minn., Dean Rabe of Chatfield, Minn., Lisa (Greg) Korsten of Rochester, Minn.
    He was preceded in death by his father, William Sexton Sr.; mother, Mildred Weingarten; brother, Robert Sexton; foster parents, Marvin & Ethel Rabe and foster sister, Joanne Hayes.
    Graveside service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at the Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City, with Reverend Kary Jonas officiating, A lunch will be provided following the service at the Lake City VFW. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
