Ronald Stoerzinger obituary

Ronald Stoerzinger, 93, of Lake City, Minn. (formerly of West St. Paul), passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 at Elysian of Lake City.
Ron was born on March 15, 1932, to Louis and Lillian (nee Peters) Stoerzinger.
He and his sister Dolores grew up on Bircher Ave. in South St. Paul. In 1950, Ron graduated from Northwestern Preparatory in Watertown, Wis. He attended the University of Minnesota - St. Paul and Macalester College. He worked at 3M for 39 years starting in the mailroom and ending as a credit supervisor. Ron’s hobbies included gardening and traveling.
On October 17, 1953, Ron married Marlene Karg at Emanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul.  They were blessed with four children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children Laura (Mike Kapsch) of Savage, Daniel (Shelagh) of Mendota Heights, Stephen (Kara) of Shakopee, and Sarah (Rob Nutt) of Lake City; grandchildren Travis (Jocelyn), Andrew, and Rachel (fiance Tony Struntz) Kapsch, Eryn and Quinn Stoerzinger, Noah (Emma) and Micah Stoerzinger, Benjamin, Samuel and Thomas Nutt; great grandchildren Gilbert and Gwendolyn Kapsch, also by his special friend, Jean Reinhard.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marlene, his parents, sister Dolores, and infant sister.
Per Ron’s wishes, there will be a private graveside ceremony for the family. Arrangements with the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel, Lake City.
