Ruth Reimers obituary

Ruth H. Reimers, 91, of Rochester, Minn., passed away on May 19, 2024 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview, Minn.
Ruth Helen (Fisher) Reimers was born on October 1, 1932 in Pipestone, Minn. to parents Herman and Ida (Stolle) Fisher.
On September 3, 1950, Ruth married the love of her life, Frank Allen Reimers, Jr. in Holland, Minn.
Although Ruth had a long successful career in dietary management, she always felt her most important role in life was being a wife and mom. Family was at the center of her life! Once asked to write her life story, she replied “It would be one line; my family is my story.” What a better way to sum up a lifetime of love and memories. She was always up for new adventures with family and friends. Among her favorite past times were embroidery, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and watching Turner Classic Movies.
Ruth is survived by her children, Ramona (Wesley) Finley of Kasson, Minn., Susan (Jeff) Holmstadt of Lake City, Minn., Ronald (Nora Ann) Reimers of Salt Lake City, Utah, Patricia (Bogan) Radich of Rochester, Minn., and James (Maureen) Reimers of Apple Valley, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Fisher of Eagan, Minn. and Albert Fisher of Georgetown, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents, Herman and Ida; and a sister, Hilda Wischmann of Maricopa, Ariz.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church (222 6th Ave. SW, Rochester, MN 55902). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, Minn.
