Ryan Frye obituary
Ryan Scott Frye, 41, of Phoenix, Ariz. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at his parents home in Lake City, Minn. He was born March 13, 1983 in San Diego, Calif. to Lisa and Randy Frye.
He is survived by his siblings Meghan and Clementine Frye; his mother Lisa Frye-Hofschulte; his step-father Jeff Hofschulte; his three children Jackson, Sophia and Olivia Frye; his nieces Ella and Kamryn Frye-Hofschulte; and his nephew Ezekiel Frye.
Ryan was a graduate of Lincoln High in 2001 and went on to pursue his love of music. Ryan was an artist, a poet, a versatile musician and a talented drummer. He was quick-witted and he was a charmer. He was kind and gentle but he had hard painful edges. Despite it all we loved him dearly. He overcame many struggles and maintained his lovable personality, continuing to bring light into any room he walked into.
Ryan was a treasured boy by his aunts and uncles Jennifer and David Martin, Michelle and Jeff Levitt, Cathleen and James Gates and Shari and Bill Gillette.
Ryan is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father Randy Frye.
He may be gone from this world but he is thriving in the next. He lives on in all of our hearts, watching over us from above.
There will be a celebration of life held Sunday, August 25 at the Frontenac Sportsman’s Club at 1 p.m. All that loved and cherished him are welcome.
