Sharon Krismer obit

Sharon Deyonne Krismer, 78, of rural Zumbro Falls, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 4, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born December 3, 1944, in Mazeppa to Clarence and Lucille (Bannitt) Mehrkens. She grew up in the Mazeppa area and graduated from Mazeppa High School. On February 9, 1963, she married the love of her life, Eugene Krismer at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in West Albany.
Sharon worked at Lakeside Foods in Plainview and at Pace Dairy in Rochester for 19 years. She also helped on the farm and feraled pigs for many years. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens, her passion was mowing the lawn. She loved to collect angels, and baking for her family, especially her fresh homemade bread. She also liked to go have coffee and visit with the neighbor ladies. Sharon and Eugene loved to go to dances. Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and going to their activities. Sharon was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Women’s Guild.
Sharon is survived by two daughters Lisa (Gary) Rademacher of South St. Paul, and Angela (Joel) Harmon of Lake City; and a son, Joe Krismer of Zumbro Falls; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Darold (Trudy) Mehrkens of Mazeppa; and her faithful dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene, and two sons, Tim and James.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 10, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in West Albany, rural Millville with Father Joseph Pete officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 9 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
