Thomas Featherstone Obituary

    Thomas F. (BigBird) Featherstone 76, passed away Friday Aug. 10, 2018 at Parmly Nursing Home.         He was born April 29, 1942 in Red Wing to Sumner and Catherine (Kay) Featherstone. He grew up in the Red Wing/Lake City area.
  He joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. When discharged he came back and worked at Conwed in Red Wing. He married Pamela (Kask) Featherstone on April 15, 1972 in Nashua, Iowa. In 1976 he moved to Duluth, Minn. where he worked at Superwood/Georgia Pacific for 28 years until his retirement in 2004. After retiring he moved to Lindstrom, Minn. He worked part time with Peterson Waddle Trash Removal until his health required him to quit.
  One of his past times was going to car shows. He was a lifelong member of the Minnesota Street Rod Association. He was a member of the VFW and served as a board member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, watching movies and playing online video games.
   He is survived by his loving wife Pam of  Lindstrom;  his five children, Charli (Dave) Benedict of Lindstrom, Kelly Featherstone of Goodhue, Cliff Krueger of Duluth, Bobbi (Jim) Wright of Lake City and Katie Marking of Shafer, Minn.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lee of Portugal and Jon (Sonda) and Butch (Pam), both of Lake City. He was proceeded in death by his parents.
  Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church in Forest Lake, Minn. Service and dinner to follow at 6 p.m.
    Internment will be at Fort Snelling for immediate family in the near future.
