Timothy VanMeveren obituary

    Timothy Wade VanMeveren, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Red Wing on December 29, 2021.
    Tim was born on December 2, 1971 to Allen VanMeveren and Sharon (Gerdes) Arms in Red Wing, Minn. Sharon, soon after Tim’s birth, would marry Lewis Arms who then raised Tim together with his siblings in Lake City, Minn. Tim attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1990. Tim then attended Winona State University where he majored in keg beer and house parties. Tim worked for Gopher Hills Golf Course in Miesville, Minn. as a grounds superintendent for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking road trips with his friends. Tim was an avid sports fan and had a love of music. He was able to make friends where ever he went.
    Tim is survived by his four sisters, Brenda (Richard) LeVan of Rochester, Cristy Wacker of Colorado Springs, Colo., Barbara Wacker of Lake City, Bonnie Wacker of Lake City; the love of his life, Angela Walker of Red Wing; nieces, Kailey (Dan) Lafferty of Lake City, McKenzie (Drew) Hardtke of Rochester; nephew, Alex Wohlers of Winona; two great nephews, Karsen and Owen Lafferty of Lake City. Tim also left behind his beloved cat Willie and a family of close, loving friends who will feel his loss terribly.
    He is preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather.
    Visitation will be on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at Port 104 in Lake City starting at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
