Letter: A fine kettle of funds

To the editor:
While 2018 had ups and downs for most of us, and significant ones for many, I am happy to report one constant has again been the very generous local support of the “Red Kettle” for The Salvation Army.
The character in Green, commonly known as “Tooley,” again deserves special thanks for all his time, efforts and collection success, as he generated over $2,000 on his own.
As you may know, he “blesses” everyone within earshot with  “Have an Irish Christmas!” David Toole continues to set the bar for other ringers.
