Letter: Growing ELP part of Give to the Max Day
To the editor:
Thank you Lake City! The Environmental Learning Program (ELP) has had a great year thanks to the generosity and support from community members, businesses, civic groups and sportsmen clubs. We had a huge increase in participation this summer. We had 140 kids participate in summer programs up from 70 a year ago. We are now offering a few programs for first through third graders including Leaves for Fun, Nature Art and a Bug Hunt. Mountain Biking was a new program this fall for fifth grade and up.
