Letter: Thanks for making flags a success
To the editor:
The fourth annual Flags of Valor project was a huge success again this year with a 700 American flag display along the Riverwalk over Water Ski Days. Thank you to all who contributed by making a donation in honor or in memory of someone dear to them.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with both set-up and take-down. The rain and wind this year made it very challenging to keep them upright and flying.
All proceeds will be used by the American Legion Post 110 and Auxiliary for veteran and local community projects.
