Ohl: The Bargain
I can’t sit still and watch a football game on tv if I have an emotional interest in one of the teams like the Gophers or the Vikings. Like other fans I am forced to sit helplessly before the tv knowing the team will not hear my cheers or feel my presence. So, I do what I can. As they run, tackle, catch passes, etc. I twist, turn, stretch and squirm trying to help them succeed. If the play was successful, I find myself returning to the previous lucky position where I may have to remain for the team to perform well. I am almost worn out by the time the game ends.
