Save history by preserving the former jail next to city hall
I agree with last week’s letter to the editor by Arthur H. Orth. The idea of putting another exclusive condominium building on prime downtown property is not the best idea for business in our fair city.
The property becomes lost to those of us who live here full time and only used and enjoyed by those rich enough to live there. But then, I believe most of the units will be used by those as vacation property and they don’t live and shop here year round. We’re lacking in shoppers during the winter months as it is now.
