We hear sounds constantly, but some are much more enjoyable than others. Most of us love to hear children laughing, a cat purring, splattering rain, rolling thunder, a choir, birds singing - the cooing of a morning dove is my favorite. Being a bit of a motor head, I also love to hear the rich, mellow rumbling exhaust of a car, boat, bike, etc. No loud, blasting, earth-shaking, ear-piercing sounds for me, please. I have decent hearing and would like to keep it.
